1. First-Look Editorial Review

 

Includes a professional reading of your picture book manuscript or dummy, young reader or young or middle-grade fiction manuscript, and a letter with broad-stroke comments outlining the work’s strengths and suggested areas for revision

 

Fees:

 

Picture books (up to 1000 words): £100

Batch of picture books: £300 for four picture books;

£475 for six picture books

 

Fiction: £250 for young readers (up to 3000 words); £375 for young fiction and chapter books (up to 10,000 words); £495 middle grade (up to 30,000 words); price on request for longer works (up to 40,000 words)

 

 

2. Detailed Editorial Review (most popular!):

 

Includes an in-depth consideration of your picture book manuscript or dummy, young reader or young fiction manuscript and a detailed editorial review letter, with specific comments about the work and notations on your manuscript, line edit and suggestions for revision.

 

Fees:

 

Picture books (up to 1000 words): £195

Batch of picture books: £425 for three picture books; £750 for six picture books

 

Fiction: £360 for young readers (up to 3000 words); £550 for young fiction (up to 10,000 words); £895 chapter books and middle grade (up to 30,000 words); price upon request for longer works (up to 40,000 words)

 

Repeat reviews: a 5% loyalty discount will be applied to the fees for projects re-submitted for review

 

3. 1-1 Coaching:

 

I can tailor these sessions to you and your work. Together we set goals and work to help YOU achieve them!

4. NEW! One-hour Review Session:

Need help honing your picture book or fine-tuning your submission (cover letter and one-line pitch)? Got a load of editorial feedback from an agent or an editor and can't make sense of what to do next? Don't delay! Book a personalized editorial feedback session (via Skype) to help you move to the next level now. To give you the best possible feedback, I need to read your picture book first, so this session must be combined with a First-Look or Detailed Editorial Review.

 

Fee: £100 (for more than one picture book, request a quote)

 

5. NEW! Pitch Perfect Package:

 

Need help getting your cover letter and picture book pitch to really grab an editor? Send your cover letter and short pitch for first-aid now! (To give you the best possible feedback, I need to read your picture book too).

 

Fees: £100 for one picture book (under 1000 words); £295 for three picture books

 

6. Editorial Feedback Session:

 

A two-hour feedback and creative brainstorming session in person or by pre-arranged phone consultation, during which I share my feedback on pre-submitted material, discuss ideas and help you develop your work to the next level. In order for me to give you the best feedback, this service must be combined with the First-Look Editorial Review.

 

Fee: £200 

 

7. Creative Brainstorming Session:

 

Don’t know which idea to work on? Stuck on a particular project? Bring your manuscript, sketchbook, characters & doodles, stories or plot outlines that are springboards for new book ideas and we’ll discuss how to get started or unstuck. This two-hour face-to-face feedback and brainstorming session in person or by pre-arranged phone consultation will inspire authors and illustrators with a fresh direction and plan for developing and taking projects to the next level.

 

Fee: £200

 

8. Creative Portfolio Feedback Session:

 

A personalized one-hour feedback session for picture book illustrators or author/illustrators, including feedback on the pieces in your portfolio, concrete suggestions for developing it to highlight your strengths and suggestions for how to market yourself effectively.

 

Fee: £100
